[00:00:00] Hello, welcome to your Daily Grace. By Timothy Wilder Foundations Episode 74 the Holy Spirit the Spirit as the Seal of Salvation when you believed the Gospel, something happened that you could not see, but heaven recorded forever. Paul writes that you were sealed with the promised Holy spirit in Ephesians 1, 13 and 14. In the ancient world, a seal meant ownership, authenticity and protection.
[00:00:30] Kings sealed documents to this belongs to me. Merchants sealed cargo to guarantee this is genuine and rulers sealed decrees to ensure no one can break this. God has done the same with you. He has marked you as his own, placing his divine signature upon your life as an unchanging declaration of belonging.
[00:00:51] This seal is not symbolic, it is the Spirit Himself. Paul says again that God has put his seal on us and given us His Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.
[00:01:02] Corinthians 1, 21 and 22 a guarantee is a down payment, proof that the full inheritance is coming. The Spirit is God's pledge that your salvation is secure, your future is certain and your identity is settled. You are not waiting to see if God will keep you. You are kept because God has sealed you and his seal carries the weight of his eternal commitment.
[00:01:25] Paul also warns, do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30 Notice the language Sealed for the day of Redemption. The seal is not temporary, it is not fragile, it is not dependent on your performance. It is anchored in God's promise and God's presence. You are sealed until the day Christ returns and completes what he began, held securely by the One who never breaks his word.
[00:01:53] And the Spirit Himself confirms this reality within you. Paul writes, the Spirit himself bears witness with our Spirit that we are children of God. Romans 8:16 the seal is not only external God's declaration over your life, it is internal. The Spirit whispers assurance, strengthens confidence and testifies to your belonging. You are not guessing at your salvation. You are marked by God, kept by God and secured by God both outwardly and inwardly. To be sealed by the Spirit means your life carries divine authenticity. You are not counterfeit, you are not uncertain. You are not vulnerable to spiritual theft or loss. You belong to God and He has placed his own Spirit upon you as the unbreakable seal of your salvation, a seal no enemy can challenge and no circumstance can undo. You are marked, you are kept. You are secure. Everything else flows from there.
