[00:00:00] Hello, welcome to your Daily Grace by Timothy Wilder Foundations Episode 68 Eternal Life Eternal Life defined Knowing God Eternal life is not merely living forever, but the gift of knowing God. Jesus defines it plainly. This is eternal life that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. John 17:3 Eternal life is not knowing about God, but entering a living, personal, relational knowledge of him through His Son. [00:00:32] This life begins the moment we believe it is present, not future, received, not earned. Eternal life restores what humanity lost in Eden, fellowship, intimacy and the joy of walking with God. Jesus came not to extend existence but to restore relationship. [00:00:49] Jeremiah says true boasting is found in knowing God in eternal life is not measured by performance, but by knowing his heart, character and love. [00:00:58] John affirms that the Son gives us understanding so we may know the One who is true. Eternal life is divine revelation, God making Himself known personally. [00:01:09] Paul declares the surpassing worth of knowing Christ, counting everything else as loss. Eternal life is experiencing his presence, hearing his voice, trusting his heart and walking in his grace. It is not about where we will be, but who we are united with now. Heaven is the environment of eternal life, but God Himself is its essence. [00:01:30] To have eternal life is to know God personally and intimately through Jesus Christ, restored fellowship, awakened understanding and the beginning of a life that will never end because it is rooted in the One who is Life Himself.
