[00:00:00] Welcome to your daily Grace by Timothy Wilder Foundations Episode 46 Law and Grace not under law, but under Grace Paul's declaration for sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace reveals one of Scripture's most liberating truths. To be under law is to live in a system where your standing with God depends on your performance. [00:00:26] To be under grace is to live in a system where your standing rests entirely on Christ's obedience. [00:00:32] These two realms are not compatible. You cannot live under both. The law is a covenant of demand. Do this and live. It exposes sin but offers no power to overcome it. Paul writes, the strength of sin is the law. [00:00:48] The law diagnoses sin but cannot deliver from it. It commands righteousness but cannot create it. Grace, however, is a covenant of supply. Live because Christ has done this, grace does not excuse sin. It breaks its power. It transforms the heart, empowers obedience, and anchors identity in Christ rather than failure. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. [00:01:14] Under grace, God relates to you through Christ's finished work. Righteousness is a gift, not a goal. The law can tell you what you ought to be. Grace makes you what God has called you to be. You are not under the system that condemns. You are under the system that frees. You are not under law. You are under grace. [00:01:34] Thank you for being part of our community. If you're being fed by these posts, we invite you to engage with them and with our sight. Please follow, friend us and like, comment and share with others who might also be encouraged. [00:01:48] These simple actions are free, but they really help support this message of grace. Thank you and God bless.
