Show Notes

Grace meets us in our deepest woundsm not to minimize the pain, but to heal it from within. True forgiveness doesn’t excuse what happened; it releases the burden it placed on your heart. As we receive God’s forgiveness, we’re empowered to extend that same grace to others. In time, even the deepest hurt can become a place where freedom begins.

[00:00:00] Hello, welcome to your Daily Grace by Timothy Wilder Grace forgives deep wounds. [00:00:08] Some wounds don't stay on the surface. They settle deep, shaping how we see others, how we protect ourselves, and sometimes even how we see God. And when the hurt runs that deep, forgiveness can feel impossible or unfair. Grace understands that grace never pretends the wound didn't matter. It doesn't minimize the pain or rush you past what was real, but it gently leads you to a place where the weight of that hurt no longer defines you. Paul says in Ephesians 4:32 be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you. [00:00:45] Forgiveness in grace isn't about excusing what was done. It's about releasing what it has held over you. It's about no longer carrying something that was never yours to bear alone. We are told to bear with each other and forgive one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you from Colossians 3:13 this kind of forgiveness doesn't come from willpower. It flows from having first received it, from knowing what it means to be fully forgiven, fully loved, even in your own broken places. And from that place, something begins to shift. The grip of the past loosens the weight, begins to lift. The wound, though still part of your story, no longer controls it. The psalmist lets us know that he he the brokenhearted and binds up their rounds in Psalm 147. 3 Grace doesn't just call you to forgive. It meets you in the pain and heals as it leads you there. So if forgiveness feels out of reach, you don't have to force it. Stay where grace is. Let it remind you what you've received. [00:01:48] Let it do its work in you one layer at a time, because even the deepest wounds are not beyond the reach of grace. And in time, what once held you captive can become a place where freedom begins. [00:02:02] Thanks for listening. If you are being fed and or uplifted by these messages, we encourage you to like, comment, share and subscribe. [00:02:11] These things help us spread the message of grace.
